Selkirk powder is legendary. It’s lighter than you’ll find on the West Coast, and just as deep. We swear it even tastes better. Great Northern Snowcat Skiing gets over 1,500 centimetres (50 feet) of snow most years, covering Mount Thompson and Great Northern Mountain in a sparkling, white blanket of bottomless powder. 

 

Become a ski bum for a week in the backcountry

Kijiji. While your British cousin giggled when you said, “Shaganappi traffic,” the great deals on next-to-new cars on Kijiji are no joke.

Kijiji. Red-light cameras send you a picture of your car in the mail, but picture yourself in a next-to-new car at a great price you’ll only find on Kijiji.

Kijiji. You want to be free of the Sherwood Park Freeway, but on Kijiji, finding great deals on the latest car models is a walk in the park.

Brief: Introduce new record label and bar to the slobbering masses populating Calgary’s live music scene.

All Aboard
Like a train wreck, there was something unsettling about watching good bands struggle to build an audience but we just couldn’t look away. Their troubles made us a little sad and really thirsty, and Train Records was born of liquor and love in a local bar. By producing CDs, hosting gigs and showcasing both on our rock n’ roll website, we’ll help talented, under-exposed artists pay their rent by entertaining live-music fans like you.

At the heart of it, it’s that simple. Train Records is a record company hell bent on putting the paddles and conductive jelly to Calgary’s live music scene by getting talented artists from all musical genres out of their basements and garages and into the clubs where they belong. Clear!
